The Cabin
About this cabin
Sun-drenched, sand-edged, and sitting right on the water — this Traverse City cabin rental on Spider Lake is the kind of place where the whole family piles out of the car and heads straight for the beach. The brown two-story cabin stands at the water's edge beneath a canopy of pines, a private sandy beach sweeping out from under the deck to a dock where a pontoon sits ready to go. A volleyball net is strung across the sand, and the lake stretches wide toward a treed island in the distance.
Inside the cabin
Step through the door into a generous carpeted living room where a wall of bay windows faces the water, warm pine trim frames every pane, and oversized armchairs pull up to a low log coffee table. A ceiling fan turns lazily overhead. Through the doorway, the kitchen runs the length of the back wall: honey-toned cabinetry, granite-look counters, a full-size fridge, and a dining table built from knotty wood with twig-back chairs, a rustic set that seats the whole group easily. A hanging lantern-style fixture ties both spaces together.
Room to rest
Two bedrooms sleep six, one with a queen and log bunk beds showing the real cabin character of the space. A single shared bathroom is tucked off the hall, and an in-unit washer and dryer are in a dedicated laundry room.
Outside your door
The private sand beach is the headline, wide enough for volleyball, sloping gently into the calm water. The dock extends over the lake with the pontoon tied up alongside. A firepit area on the sand gives you a ringside seat for evening light on the water.
What's Nearby
Spider Lake sits in a quiet pocket of woods just a short drive from Traverse City's waterfront dining and wineries. The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is under an hour west, and the Traverse City State Park beach is a quick run down the road.
Perfect For
Families with kids who need a real lake beach, groups of up to six who want a pontoon included, and anglers chasing Spider Lake's bass and panfish all season long.
