The Cabin
About this cabin
Architecturally singular and unmistakably lakefront — this large Traverse City vacation rental announces itself with a dramatic curved glass solarium that juts toward the water, its floor-to-ceiling panels filling every room with reflected lake light. The two-structure compound sits at the edge of a sandy beach, flanked by maples blazing with fall color in the photos, with a generous patio space between the solarium and the rear guest wing furnished in café chairs and loungers.
A room that frames the lake
Push through the door and the solarium stops you cold: exposed log beams spanning the vaulted ceiling, a long dining table seating ten or more, and views through wrap-around glazing that make the lake feel like a living artwork. The main living room opens directly off this great gathering space, beam ceilings, heavy log-column framing, and a wall of sliding glass doors that frame a winter lake panorama stretching to a wooded island in the middle distance. The kitchen runs along the adjacent corridor, fitted with natural knotty-pine cabinetry, a peninsula island with swivel stools, a stainless French-door refrigerator, and pendant lighting above the prep counter, practical and spacious enough for a group of twelve to cook together.
Sleeping seven bedrooms
Seven bedrooms sleep up to twelve across the main house and adjoining wing. Bathrooms include a knotty-pine-walled shower room and a separate bath with a glass-panel shower, four bathrooms total serve the full group. Bedrooms vary in size and outlook; the photos show clean, simply furnished rooms throughout.
Outside your door
The sandy beachfront and patio seating are steps from the solarium doors. Lounge chairs face the water, and there's a clear stretch of sand leading directly to the lake, room for everyone at once.
What's Nearby
The beaches, restaurants, and wineries of Traverse City are within easy reach, with Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and the Old Mission Peninsula wine trail also close at hand for day excursions.
Perfect For
Large family reunions, multi-generational groups, or corporate retreats, seven bedrooms, a massive solarium dining space, and true sandy lakefront access make this one of the most capable group properties in the region.
